Mercenary Hiring


This is my hiring sequence for playing on insane level with SpaceViking’s Many Mercs Mod. It is optimized for a long game with a vast number of fights favoring WIS for learning and DEX for interrupts.

Here is how I sorted and filtered the list of all RPCs:

 

1. Cost Category Ascending, initial 14 day rate plus medical deposit (when applicable)

cheap (1): 0 to 9,999; low (2): 10,000 to 19,999; moderate (3): 20,000 to 42,999; high (4): 43,000 and above. Excel: =LOOKUP(value,{0,10000,20000,43000;1,2,3,4})

 

2. 100 * WIS Score + 10 * DEX Score + MRK Score Descending, where Score: low (1): 0 to 69; moderate (2): 70 to 84; high (3): 85 and above. Excel: =LOOKUP(value,{0,70,85;1,2,3})

 

- Subtracted 1 point from the formula for Grunty as WIS is substantially lower than Igor’s.

- Added 1 point to the formula for Len to account for his WIS and AP being better than his peers.

- Added 1 point to the formula for Raider as his high militia training will improve WIS.

 

3. AP Ascending

 

4. Filter / remove all individual categories in step 2 with a score of 1.
